BACinema: The Incredibles ~ February 5th at 7:30 p.m.
Brad Bird’s The Incredibles was the hit family movie of 2004 and it’s easy to see why. The film is an action movie about awesome kids, a grownup movie about the ravages of middle age and a family movie about…family. Having lived in the suburbs for some time by now, Bob (Mr. Incredible), Helen (Elastigirl) and their three children, Violet, Dash and Jack Jack are content with having a normal life that doesn’t involve much revelation of their unique secret; that Mom and Dad are retired superheroes and all three children were born with superpowers that could save the world. So when Bob suddenly gets called to a remote island to fight an ominous, world-ending threat, the family doesn’t have much choice but once again be… Incredible. Bring your super-kids and super-husband/wife! The incredibles contains some cartoon violence but is acceptable for most ages. Tickets $6 • $5 BAC Members. Beverly Arts Center 2407 W 111th St, Chicago.
