Mt. Greenwood

This well established community of Mt. Greenwood, located in the far southwest corner of the city, is home to many Chicago firefighters, policemen and city workers and their families.

Mt. Greenwood offers a wide price range of homes to accommodate first time buyers, growing families or empty nesters. Local activities center around Mt. Greenwood Park which features a gymnasium, pool, numerous ball fields, a state of the art playground and even a hockey rink.

Mt. Greenwood was the home of the last working farm in the city. The farm is now the site of the Chicago Agricultural School and a popular Farmer's Market. Other outstanding high schools in the community include Marist, Brother Rice and Mother McAuley.
